Veteran's Program Director
Tom Holloway is the Director of Veterans Programs. A retired
army officer, he has primary responsibility for all veteran services
in The H.O.U.S.E.; oversees the daily operations of the Grant Per
Diem and Health Care for Homeless Veterans programs; and is the
primary liaison with the Veterans Administration. Tom is a
credentialed substance abuse counselor and a member of the clinical
counseling staff.
Tom attended the University of Missouri where he obtained his BA and
MA degrees and holds an ABD in historical geography from Syracuse
University. Tom retired from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel
after serving twenty-four years as a Military Police officer.
He spent his last six years at the Pentagon which proved to be an
excellent orientation for life at The H.O.U.S.E., Inc.
In addition to his military career, Tom has over thirty-five
years' experience conducting extensive personal research on the
bio-psycho-social effects of alcoholism. It was this avocation
which first brought him to The H.O.U.S.E. in 2006. It was his
love for the program and his desire to help other alcoholics achieve
recovery that has kept him here. Like a bad staph infection, he
won't go away.
